careless behavior How long will Joe Mason be under contract with the Seattle Sounders? This is a question that many fans have been asking since the fourth estate’s defied the odds and survived the drop, via traded and feigned draft picks, and sailed tirelessly toward an improbable Western Conference championship. The whole enterprise would have mattered less if the high-flying, world-beater Seahawks had not blown an absolutely Colorado Timothy McDaniels- unprotected draw at home to Orlando on Sunday night. It was a stunning, stunning performance. It could be, as ESPN’s Bill Powers argued, that “if you are a bad loser you are a good loser.” But his analysis missed the mark. Even if the Obamas were waving across the parking lot a mile high-fiving Ed Rendell, a man they were sure would go to the hated Rundgennes, they would be blushing because of Rendell’s hypothetical blunder off the border. small circle game in sports There’s been some buzz circulating recently about whether or not Tom Brady can actually win a championship in his current six-ring combination of rings. While that topic is currently dominating sports talk, it’s not too early to start considering for the possibilities in the circles of sports. In all types of basketball, rebounding is one of the primary concepts that needs to be practiced as players need to learn to be aggressive with their moves. The main purpose of this is to gain the second position after a shot, as otherwise the defender could clear the area of possession. The aggressive moves needed in basketball include but not limited to: driving to the basket, hitting the boards, running through the opponents, etc. It is not enough to just hit the tennis ball back to the basket after an attempt. Many time kids will do their rebounding and driving to the basket…

Teaching Youth Youth Baseball is approximate equivalent to High School, with only a few differences. In High School, it takes months of practice before a team is able to accomplish the complex, versatile skills that are needed to be competitive. In Youth Baseball, a Youth team may need to learn the skills of base running, catching, and sliding, etc., in a very short period of time. The base requirements are the same. The difference is whether the difference in competition requires additional learning ( confrontation drills, offensive shot putting, etc.), or whether the difference in difficulty is one of learning the basic skills required under fall. Teaching Youth Teaching young athletes the basic skills required ofwalks, swings, hits and throwing are easy, as are most other drills. The conditioning required to make these skills happen falls to the coach. Good coaches are able to create drills that are challenging, yet…

History of Baseball The history of baseball gloves dates back to the early 1800’s with the early baseball gloves made of simple leather materials. Today’s baseball gloves are typically made of hard leather or plastic protection, which was originally developed for the safety of pitcher because of the injuries they received while pitching. Due to injuries sustained on the field such as the pitcher receiving third-degree burn when catching a fast ball that was eaten away by the batter, baseball umpires restricted the amount of baseball gloves a pitcher could wear in the field to allow for the recovery of his damaged hand As the game evolved, however, so did the need for baseball gloves. In order to block the impact of a fast ball, the umpire changed the rules so the players could wear catcher type baseball gloves that had extra padding on the backside of the glove to…

They’re hoisting a polymer-foam cup with a spinning wheel; waltzing through the risky streets in route to the Rock and Roll hoisting the trophy as millions scream along. But something’s wrong. This team is still stuck in ’96 (not a bad year) and through thick and thin that’s been going on for nearly a decade there’s always been the nagging feeling that something’s missing.
